Dubravka Bošnjak, the Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, held a meeting in Sarajevo with Luc Dresse, Alternate Executive Director of the Belgian-Dutch Constituency of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Discussions revolved around the activities of the Council of Ministers of BiH in the context of opening EU accession negotiations for Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the IMF's support in implementing structural reforms.
Mr. Dresse briefed Minister Bošnjak on current macroeconomic indicators and global forecasts, with a particular focus on inflation trends and energy.
Minister Bošnjak emphasized that although the European Commission has given the green light for opening accession negotiations, we are aware that there is a long road to full membership.
The meeting between Minister Bošnjak and representatives of the IMF represents a continuation of constructive dialogue between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the IMF, as an important partner in economic reforms and the country's development.
