Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Meets with Young Sports Champion Ismail Barlov

Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dubravka Bošnjak, met with the exceptional young athlete and representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina in para swimming, Ismail Barlov, a member of the SPID Swimming Club in Sarajevo. The Minister took the opportunity to warmly congratulate him on his impressive achievements and wish him the best of luck in his future competitions.

In the conversation, as much as on the sporting fields, Ismail Barlov sparkled with his enthusiastic spirit. With his optimism and incredible talent, he showed why he has become a true hero and role model for many people in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Minister enthusiastically noted that Ismail is the youngest and dearest guest ever to visit the Ministry of Civil Affairs and how he has become a true champion with a big heart.

Ismail Barlov shared his exceptional sporting achievements with the meeting participants. At the World Senior Championships in Manchester, he placed seventh in the final race in the 150m medley, with a time of 3:40:35. This outstanding result earned him another standard A to compete at the Paralympic Games in Paris in 2024, thus opening a new chapter in his sports career. He also achieved an outstanding result and won fourth place in the 50m breaststroke at the same prestigious competition.

His persistence, dedication and endless passion for sports make him a true hero with disabilities, who inspires us all every day.

Minister Bošnjak said that she is proud of Ismail Barlov and believes that he will continue to bring joy and inspiration with his remarkable sporting achievements. His story is a reminder that there are no limits to what can be achieved with hard work, passion and self-belief. She congratulated Ismail Barlov on his exceptional success and wished him all the best in future competitions.
