Minister Bošnjak Supports Safe Medical Cannabis Legalization at the Conference "Legalization of Cannabis for Medical Purposes - How to Expedite the Process"

Dubravka Bošnjak, the Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, participating in the conference titled "Legalization of Cannabis for Medical Purposes - How to Expedite the Process," emphasized that the Ministry of Civil Affairs considers the legalization of cannabis for medical purposes important and supports the regulation of this issue.

Minister Bošnjak highlighted that the intention is not only to expedite the legalization process but also to ensure that patients gain access to therapy that can significantly improve their lives.

Saša Magazinović, a Member of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated that all sick individuals who use cannabis oil expect to have legal access to it and that the legalization of cannabis has become our international obligation today.

Nataša Grubiša, the Director of the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated that, aiming to protect the health of their patients, they want to have clear, quality, and controlled medications through this initiative.

Nediljko Rimac, the Minister of Health of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated that the Federal Ministry of Health has supported this initiative in seeking quality legislative solutions.

The conference held at the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina brought together representatives from the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, members of parliaments at various levels of government, representatives from the Ministry of Health of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of Republika Srpska, clinical centres in Bosnia and Herzegovina, SIPA (State Investigation and Protection Agency), the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, entity police forces, the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices, and other state agencies, institutes, as well as members of the academic community, pharmacists, and representatives of associations and inspectorates.
