The Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dubravka Bošnjak, will sign the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Bulgaria on Saturday, 23 September, in Sofia. The Memorandum will be signed with the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Bulgaria, Dimitar Iliev.

The signing of the Memorandum is the result of a procedure carried out in both countries and the expressed desire for cooperation, as informed by Valeri Ivanov Yotov, the Bulgarian ambassador to BiH, who conveyed it with a note from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Bulgaria to Minister Bošnjak.

In the conversation Minister Bošnjak had with Ambassador Yotov, it was assessed that the Memorandum will strengthen friendly relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Bulgaria through the exchange of knowledge, experience, resources, and the development of long-term cooperation in the field of youth and sports. Cooperation in the field of youth pertains to the exchange of information, publications, youth participation in conferences and other gatherings, their exchange, cooperation of their organizations, promotion of volunteering projects, and the like.

Regarding the part of the Memorandum related to sports, it was concluded that athletes from the two countries achieve significant success and admirable results in various sports disciplines, so the exchange of experiences and knowledge would contribute to further progress.

Minister Dubravka Bošnjak's visit to Bulgaria coincides with the celebration of the European Week of Sport, once again emphasizing the commitment to this topic.
