Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dubravka Bošnjak, held discussions in Sarajevo with Siniša Skočibušić, the Director of the Institute of Public Health of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the aim of enhancing collaboration between these two important institutions.

Minister Bošnjak emphasized a series of previous joint activities and engagements between the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Institute of Public Health of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She particularly highlighted their role during the challenging years of the COVID-19 pandemic and commended the Institute of Public Health of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a reliable partner of the ministry.

Director Skočibušić expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina for their overall and selfless commitment during the pandemic, noting that the Institute had been a key driver of anti-epidemic measures.

This friendly meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss future collaboration. The participants emphasized the necessity of strengthening cooperation at all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina to advance public health actions and improve the health of the population. Furthermore, they pledged a responsible approach towards international partners, timely reporting, and information exchange in accordance with Bosnia and Herzegovina's international obligations.

Director Skočibušić invited Minister Bošnjak to the celebration marking 100 years of institutional public health in Bosnia and Herzegovina, scheduled to take place in October 2023 in Sarajevo.
