Aggeler congratulates Bosnia and Herzegovina on successful clearance of cluster munitions: Continuation of cooperation between the Ministry of Civil Affairs and OSCE

Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dubravka Bošnjak, met today in Sarajevo with the Head of the Mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brian Aggeler, to discuss collaboration projects between the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH and OSCE.

The meeting was held with the aim of further strengthening the partnership between the two sides, and Minister Bošnjak reminded of exceptional cooperation in the education sector, where the OSCE plays a significant role as a partner of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ambassador Aggeler congratulated the Ministry of Civil Affairs on the successful completion of the cluster munitions removal project, recognizing the importance of this step for the safety of citizens and the country's progress. Emphasizing that demining remains a priority for further cooperation with the OSCE, Minister Bošnjak reminded of the significant responsibilities of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Mine Action Centre (BH MAC) and stated that a new Demining Law will be adopted in the Ministry of Civil Affairs' Work Program for the next year. New demining projects involving the OSCE were announced, for which the minister expressed full support.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the exchange of opinions and experiences, as well as for further defining the priorities and objectives of cooperation between the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the OSCE. Minister Dubravka Bošnjak and the Head of the OSCE Mission in BiH, Brian Aggeler, expressed their satisfaction with the past joint activities and readiness for further efforts in achieving common goals, primarily in the areas of education and demining.
